Maicon awarded a new contract by the European Commission.

Maicon Associates Limited, as part of a consortium led by ENVIROS S.R.O. has won a contract from the European Commission under its Intelligent Energy Programme. Under this 28 month contract, Know How of two Protocols ( IPMVP and IEEFP ) is to be transferred to Europe through an intensive training programme. These protocols have been developed and maintained by EVO in North America. Partners in the consortium are European organisations in Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria Croatia and Romania. Under this program North Amerian experience in M&V and Energy Efficiency Financing is being channeled through Maicon Associates Limited for the wider benefit of the European Community. The lack of confidence in demonstrating proven savings has been a major barrier against the release of funds by the Financing Institutions. They have hitherto demanded collaterals and have attached unreasonable loan conditions for EE projects. It is believed that under this project, the Know How Transfer and training of the banking sector and energy professionals in the European countries will greatly facilitate the flow of funds into Energy Efficiency projects.
