As Maicon's roots are in the ESCO industry, it has throughout been closely involved with finance, both conventional and unconventional. It has acquired particular expertise in the procurement and deployment of finance for energy efficiency projects. In particular, Maicon has been designing institutional structures of specialised energy and environment funds, for disbursement in a safe and transparent manner. Maicon staff is frequently invited to provide advice and deliver seminars on financial issues.

• Designing institutional structures of an energy revolving fund
• Developing and promoting European energy efficiency financing protocol under the IEEFP model
• Modifying an existing environmental fund for disbursement of public funds
• Preparing and delivering a workshop on modern financial methods to delegates from five black sea region states
