Technology and Know How Transfer

The team at Maicon has been providing consultancy services in the transfer of know how on financing of energy efficiency through the promotion of the ESCO concept and the development of unconventional financing techniques.

Such transfer of technology programmes have largely been executed under the programmes of the EU such as Thermie and Phare and World Bank.

Additionally, Maicon has developed a comprehensive training package for companies starting as ESCOs. It forms a significant part of ESCO know how transfer workshops.

Typical examples include:

• Sectoral workshops for health, industry and leisure sectors in the Czech Republic aimed at getting the best out of ESCO companies
• Intensive Training programme for Czech Energy Consultants in ESCO business (this led to the creation of The Association of Czech ESCOs)
• Class room and hands on training of Polish and Romanian companies on becoming ESCOs
• Intensive training programme on ESCO creation for energy consultants and bankers in Lithuania
• Workshop on Introduction of the ESCO concept for senior officials of the government of Belarus
