Denis Yozhikov - Energy Expert (former soviet block)

M.Sc. Physics and Engineering

Denis Yozhikov is a Physics and Engineering Graduate holding a Master's degree from the University of Physics and Technology, Moscow. He is a Belarusian National and having lived and worked in Ukraine, is a Member of the Ukrainian Forum of Combined Heat and Power Generation.

He has in depth knowledge of the Energy issues in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. Being his mother tongue, Denis is fluent in Russian but is also equally fluent in English, German and French. He has worked for 9 years for UK Energy Technology Support Unit (ETSU).

He was involved in two EU/TACIS funded energy projects. One for the creation of: "EC Energy Centre Minsk" and the other "National Energy Saving Programme for Ukraine".

Denis is not only technically astute but is also competent in financial matters. In 2003 he participated in a project funded by Kuwait Finance on rehabilitating Minsk 3 CHP plant, where his contribution was to advise Belarusian Ministry of Energy, undertaking economic calculations, preparation of financial statements analysis of legal framework and institutional settings necessary to make the project viable.
